Dear club members,

if you wish to get your first star after this drive, thus keep your tools ready to be inspected by the Marshals::048::048::048:

Newbie

  • The member who has attended one Club Member trip at least
  • The member who has decided to take his/her off-road driving one step further
  • MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING TOOLS TO BE UPGRADED TO NEWBIE
  • The typical Newbie trip will be a morning or an afternoon drive with of easy style driving. Members will have the opportunity to get stuck and watch how recoveries are safely undertaken. There will be some cresting, to get the feel of the car approaching, crossing and descending a dune.
Minimum Recovery Equipment:

  • Rated (approved) snatch strap
  • 2 Rated Shackles
  • Rated Hook
  • Car jack
  • Tyre deflator
  • Shovel
  • Spare tyre in good shape
  • Front & rear towing points
  • Air compressor
  • Base plate for jacking vehicle

Minimum Safety Equipment

  • Fire extinguisher (Dry Powder)
  • Flag pole including flag
  • Communication device (Walkie-talkie)

Sorry guys my car still in garage 😢I was hoping to receive it by tomorrow! !By they informed me that only by Sunday it will be ready.

Hi guys
I'd like to register for the second convoi. CTS CM2.
I'm new to off roading and this is a great opportunity for me.
I just got my first 4x4 ever last month.
I checked the recovery points which are good.
I have GPS, radio, rated recovery kit, shovel and tire gauge/deflator.
I still don't have a decent compressor and a jack. ( I hope this will be fine)
I'm planning to get these in the coming month and I need some recommendations.

Please let me know if this is OK.
