The CM event was one of the most anticipated for me. We couldn't attend the previous one in December, and I was eager to have my first drive with the Club.
When we arrived at the meeting point, everything was perfectly organized. I was surprised by the number of participants that gathered. We ended up counting around sixty cars!
Carlos gave a very thorough theoretical explanation of driving techniques, emphasizing that safety comes first.
After that, the group was divided into four smaller groups, and I was assigned to group 1 led by Presa.
The driving was very fun, with crests and arches. The entire support team kept a close eye on the convoy at all times. There were some standstills and second attempts that were perfectly guided by Presa and the support team with ease.
Sometimes, due to these circumstances, the distance to be maintained between cars was reduced, although it did not pose any challenge.
Upon returning, Dobinsons had prepared a big setup for the BBQ. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay because we had a prior commitment.
Many thanks to the entire Almost 4x4 team! Looking forward to next Saturday's drive and future ones (which I hope will be soon!).
See you there!

Hello everyone,
I joined the CM drive on 24 jan. The experience was amazing overall.
I arrived early at the meeting point and met the first members of the club who gave me indications on what to do. I deflated my tires and proceeded to the sand.
The briefing conducted by @CARLOSS was very good, covering all the basic aspects that the new joiners should know about.
I was part of group 1 and had an amazing time during the drive. I was at easy during the whole trip knowing that we were being observed by the marshals and that as soon as any eventuality would arise, we were going to be taken care of. The instructions by radio were prompt and clear.
After we finished, there was a nice gathering and the bbq provided by the sponsor which was a nice ending to the afternoon.
Overall, it was a very good first experience and now I'm looking forward to join the next newbie drive.
Thanks to all the members of the team who contributed to the success of the trip.

My first drive with the 4R.. Nervous, excited it was a little bit of everything. @cookie was driving Ghost that day on the CM, so I arrived a bit late to the drive and I believe this was the only drive for which I arrived late. I'm always 1 hour or half an hour early always and hurried up to take some clips of the event with Dobinson.
Once the briefing was done, I was in the team of @Scorpio @Rashidjass and @optimus ...
Its was a good drive but unfortunately my car's airbox connection to the SC kept coming out, and I was planning to exit the drive. But after 2 fixes, it stayed in so I continued the drive. Also there were like a thousand cars near nagra and all around the place we were driving. So there were cars randomly joining our convoy and driving with us, which made it too unsafe for the lead to take us places and we had to make multiple detours to avoid all of that. So the drive didn't feel complete for me but I have immense respect for the lead and the support who took care of us in the best way possible that day.
The drive ended with a Dobinson sponsored dinner and we had a nice chat with @alshamsi_m about the upcoming Salalah drive.
It was a fun evening and thank you all the Marshals and support for making this happen.
Ciao.

apologies for late report.
A very well organized event - thanks to all marshalls, crew, media & support teams as well as Dobinson for a great post drive entertainment.
Thanks to @Scorpio , @Rashidjass , @optimus for leading convoy #4 with 6 or 7 newbies.
I believe I was the only 10- newbie, so it was definitely a challenging drive for me. had to stay focused as the speed was pretty fast.
Just needed a couple of 2nd tries but managed not to get stuck nor brake any parts.
A few short crests & nice arches were the main highlights that forced me to arrive with the right speed to avoid struggling.
Oh and that Nagra dune on a Saturday was something to be experienced ... crazy, crowded & noisy !
Others convoys constantly coming left, right, center - with cars trying to squeeze in our very own convoy ... caution !
Look forward to my next drive, which will be my 10th :-)
