The good thing is that I have all my original parts stored at home, besides mine was very little modified to start with...

well i couldn't take it any more. so i just went ahead and installed a muffler.
tell you what when i started it to test the sound, i thought it didn't started and when i pressed the pedal just to check it i could hear some thing.
The truck now sounds like a toyota prius :019:
i hate it to my guts... why??? why they did it to us :012:
Imagine Arnold Schwarzenegger singing in the voice of James Blunt, how hideous would that be...
Gonna go to sharjah in some time and i'll drive around in some streets to see if i get pulled over. I'm sure the authorities would definitely be pleased as how my truck sounds now...

Folks, whats illegal with having a KnN intake air filter????? I have a drop in type (fits in lieu of the original) in the same air box and there is hardly any sound difference! Is it an offense also?

if you have the air filter only which is in the original air box, then i guess its alright.
The issue is with the cold air intakes or the ram air filters which replace the original equipment.

Update on Situation:
So i finally went to Sharjah yesterday. Found some cops standing on the highway. So i went to the extreme right lane to see how they react.
Guess what they never even turned around to take a look. they might have thought it's another corolla or something.
Although i saw an EVO (twice) roaming around with a loud exhaust in taawun area and some AMG's. They were doing alright...
P.S: I feel older now :012:
