The 3.5 engine is over priced in the scrab yards in sharjah , they ask 4500 to 5000 DH . if the damage in the engine is not major its better to fix your engine than buying a used one .

i found a pathfinder 2001 for 17000 aed. the engine is leaking oil from the head i figured id repair it but i had a car with the similar issue which i fixed about 3 times but it kept leaking till i changed it.

i guess i should keep on looking.

I think the car is priced reasonably , if the leak is the only problem , and the car is good , i think you should go for it . and i will give you some contacts who can do the job perfectly in sharjah .

With 2001 model you have to be careful, if it is really 3.5 engine. Post VIN number and I'll tell you the truth. Oil leaking from the head... I never saw it at any 3.5L engine...

@ Abu Jimmy : that will be great id take a mechanic and go to check it again. i have some basic knowledge only but from what i saw and the test drive thats seems the only big issue.

@ caprihorse: its a 1st Class full option car and i did read 3.5 on some document or a place id confirm it again before buying it =)

Your statement does not say anything, we had already case in our club that somebody was buying 3.5L and actually he got 3.3L. Where is the car now? I'm driving Pathfinder 3.5L from 2006 and I think that I know all strong and weak points of this great vehicle. If you wish, we can help you, but pls provide more information.

unfortunately it was soled.. the next time i find i good one i will get its VIN number and post it to you...
