My personal opinion ( based on my XJ experience ) ,

1- The most distinguished modification on this vehicle is the back trunk . well , its a " Uni-body " vehicle , any cut and weld process will weaken the frame resulting excessive " tilting " while off roading , especially with 2/3 roof .

2- lifting the car 6" and maybe more , with out adding any width to the wheel base is a guaranteed rollover in desert .

3- The 35" BF Goodrich tyres are too big and really heavy for such an under-powered vehicle .

4- Adding a roof rack in the middle , and topping that with a heavy spare tyre will just give you the worst center of gravity , increasing vehicles height = increasing rollover probability .

5- The front fender flares are a " Home Made " by a Yankee .

6- The only useful ( worth the dollar ) modification is the front steel pumper and the winch .

My final conclusion is , this car was badly built for rock crawling , nicely modified for " Show Off " on tarmac , and a complete disaster for dune bashing .

( My 2 Cent )

i guess it was modified in a cutting/welding shop rather than an offroad shop :011:
