Hello Almosters :028:

I am planning to get full size spare tire instead of the original "bicycle" tire :005: which comes with the Jeep.
my question is; what is the maximum size I can fit inside the car & fixed in the original tire rack? can I fit BFG 32" or 31"?
my tires are BFG 31".

Any advice will be highlight appreciated, thank you in advance all

Hi Bu Shahid,

I have the original Jeep rim with 265/70/R15 tire on it, fixed at the same place of spare tire in XJ.

But not sure about the BFGs:022:

This is the first appreciated (non-offroading) advice....:027: who knows maybe we will need the "SPEAR" one day in the desert :051:
I was wrongly thinking that you are only catching our offroading mistakes...here we go...your kindness extended to cover spelling mistakes as well :021:...what is next:032:
thank you...:038:

Abuse of our logotype, when we are referring to our club in public, in writing we have to use always Almost4x4 Off-Road Club as the name, with the proper capitalization and names. E.g. offroading is not the same as off-roading... Sometimes I'm very picky :038:

May be its the time now to think about a Roof Rack, hence you can fix the spare tire on the rack regardless the size :)

Thank you Zak for the reply, I am trying to avoid the rack as much as possible.
